I'm seeing a lot of request posts. As a reminder of the rules, if you got a code, please delete your post or edit it to say you got your code. You can use strike out and use the tags if you wish.

Also, any user can tag a post. So if you emailed a code to a user, you can edit the tags to a post even if you aren't the OP to say that they got a code.

Anyone who helps out with coding, testing or tag wrangling will get an invite code, and it also makes the queue shorter for everyone else. The volunteer form is currently also a queue, but it'll make things better for everyone in the long run: http://transformativeworks.org/volunteer/volunteer-interest-form

Ao3 usually starts you out with five codes I believe. You can find your codes by clicking on the 'invite a friend' button when you first log in or the 'invitations' button under your screen name when you view your Ao3 dashboard. Once there, simply click on the 'request more' button to get more codes.

1. When did you request your codes and when did you get them?
2. How many did you request and get?

I ask because I'm testing things. I put ? and asked to have any they could spare. I didn't get a reply. I then tried 1 and 12 and got those codes a day later. I'm currently testing 20 and 99 to see what happens. What were your results?

If you are not a member of LJ or DW but would like to help out by sharing a code, please do so in these comments. It would be best to send it to others via mail or PM instead of posting the raw code. We've had people in the past take codes and not comment.

A quick tip of the day: if you request an invitation from the site or if a friend sends you one, you should receive an email with a link for signing up. If someone copies a code for you to use, however, you may not have the url. In that situation, you can sign up by going to http://archiveofourown.org/users/new?invitation_token=YOURINVITATIONCODE, where you replace that last bit with the code you've received.
